Top 5 Things To Do In Tokyo

When paying a visit to Japan, one of the most popular stops along the way is the city of Tokyo, which offers an assortment of exciting activities and attractions. Whether you enjoy exploring the historical ins and outs of a destination or like to investigate the great outdoors, there are plenty of things to keep you busy during a stay in Tokyo. Below, you will find five suggestions on how to spend your time in the city that provides never-ending adventures in food, fashion, and fun:

1) Explore City History

The city of Tokyo is filled with a deep history that is seen through the many buildings and structures about town. To get a sense of old Tokyo, one should pay a visit to the Sensoji Temple, which can be found in Asakusa. Here, you will come across the oldest and most well known of its kind. Leading to this attraction, you will find Nakamise Dori, which offers a satisfying taste of traditional Japanese goods along a retail pedestrian lane. To reach this site, a boat ride on the Sumida River will deliver you.

2) Pay a Visit to a Museum

Museums are a great way to investigate the culture, history, art, and achievements associated with a destination. The largest museum in the city is called the Tokyo National Museum with interesting features such as samurai armor and woodblock prints. A wealth of artifacts are also situated at the Edo-Toyko Museum, which is stored within the walls of a rather high-tech building filled with an interesting collection.

3) Test Out the Cuisine

The Tsukiji Fish Market is the perfect place to sample some of the freshest sushi in the city. Here, you will have the pleasure of visiting the largest fish market in the country. Tuna auctions and many stalls of seafood awaken the senses. After visiting this attraction, you will have probably worked up a sizable appetite, which can be satisfied by numerous high-quality eateries offering both traditional and modern menu items.

4) Enjoy the View

When paying a visit to the 45th floor of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office (also known as TMG), you will come across an observatory that provides an awesome bird’s eye view of the city. This free attraction is also a great opportunity to catch sight of the illustrious Mount Fuji

5) Admire Your Natural Surroundings

Depending on the time of year you visit, Japanese gardens are filled with the scent of fresh flowers and colorful presentations of nature’s best. Some of the blooms provide the perfect scenery for a peaceful stroll with wisteria, peonies, and azaleas. Some of the best gardens in the city include visits to the Hama Rikyu Garden, Koishikawa Korakuen, and Shinjuku Gyoen. Fancy cherry blossoms? For a non-demanding 3-mile walk, why not stretch your legs about the Imperial Palace moat, which is especially breathtaking in the spring when the cherry blossoms are in bloom? Ueno Park also offers a pleasing display of greenery.

Waikiki Beach: Hawaiian Heaven

Waikiki Beach: Hawaiian Heaven

When you here someone mention Hawaii, you most likely think of Waikiki beach. This is perhaps one of the most popular places in Hawaii. Waikiki beach is a beautiful beach that stretches approximately 2 miles long with its coast lined by hotels and businesses geared towards attracting the tourists and lets not forget the very beautiful Kapiolani Park that is also located along the beach of Waikiki.

Waikiki Beach is a popular spot for all of thos who love to snorkel, swim, surf and even go canoing. The beach can be a very crowed place to be but with all the different things to do and explore you will be sure to have a great time. You can go to the areas near the Diamond Head or go to Kapiolani Park, if you are looking for expansive picnic and recreational areas.

Kristina Malsberger described Waikiki Beach best when she wrote, “As I thread my way through a maze of umbrellas, sand castles, and bronze bodies, it seems that some things have hardly changed since the days when Bing Crosby crooned ‘Sweet Leilani’ here in the 1937 film ‘Waikiki Wedding.’ Yes, the surfboards and swimsuits have shrunk and the high-rise forest has grown, but folks still come here for the same reasons as always: to soak up the tropical sunshine, to splash around in the surf, and to engage in that unique Waikiki tradition of the outrigger canoe ride.”

Tourists and newcomers need to use caution when choosing to use their own personal flotation devices, such as: noodles, swim boards, inflatable tubes or mattresses to mention a few, as there really is no substitute for excellent swimming skills. People also need to be cautious of runaway surfboards, as they can be very hazardous. Check with the lifeguards that are on duty about any areas that you need to be aware of, such as deep holes in the water. Be sure to stay clear of and stay off of breakwater and sea walls, as they can be extremely slippery and covered in barnacles that can seriously hurt you should you get pounded during high surf.

Waikiki Beach has a great deal to offer everyone and it is one of the best places to visit while you are in Hawaii. The beach and local park area all offer the following amenities for your convenience: Lifeguards, Picnic areas, showers, restrooms, phones and, of course, the ever famous sand and reefs. This is a must see hot spot while you are traveling through Hawaii.

Thinking about Starting a Home-Based Business

Posted on January 12th, 2007 in Business Information by Global Marketing - Internet Marketing

Thinking about Starting a Home-Based Business?

This article is specifically written for stay at home moms who are looking to supplement their income by starting a home-based business.
Many times, moms stay home in order to raise their children and in many cases these same moms have college degrees and even a few years of work experience. This situation is ripe for a mom to start a work at home business.

The question always comes up, great, start an internet business, wonderful. But just what am I going to sell? Good question, before we answer this question let us get out a piece of paper and a pen and draw a line from the top of the page starting in the middle and draw a line to the bottom of the page. What are we doing? We are dividing the page in two sections. In the left section, write service businesses and in the right section, write product businesses.

Now we are going to brainstorm. Starting in the left section under service businesses we are going to write down all the skills we possess that we think can be turned into a service business. Here are some ideas;
I am good at writing I am very creative I am great at being organized I am an awesome cook

Now in the right section we will do the same exercise, here are some ideas;
I can make quilts I can paint children pictures I know a lot about furniture polish I have experience selling beauty products
Now that you have just a few ideas, you are in a great position to begin researching whether you will sell a service or a product.

Starting at the top, if you are a great writer, you could write business letters for small business owners across the country who are not in a position to hire someone just to type out their important business correspondence.
How about if you are very organized could you consult other mothers on how to be more organized? Sure you can, let us now see about the other side of the page. So you know a lot about beauty products.

You could start a work at home business by selling another companies products by just presenting them on a website and writing some advertising print and providing potential customers with your email or phone number to call and ask you questions. You can do the same with furniture polish, children toys or what would be a great wedding gift for a newly engaged couple.

The bottom line is that millions of people need help with just about everything under the sun, and you may either have the right skill or the right product knowledge to assist them. You just have to translate that into a business.
I hope that this article has been helpful in a little way and that it will inspire you to start your own business.
