They named the group the Special Vehicle Team and for years it was the only one of its kind. Chief engineer for Ford SVT was John Coletti who was able to push out some of the best and most powerful cars on the market.

The SVT Cobra Mustang is built with the four-valve aluminum heads that can also be found on the Mustang Mach 1 – but it is also built with an Eaton Roots-type supercharger. This engine pushes out 390 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 390 pound-ft of torque at 3500 rpm.
It also comes with a T-56 six speed manual transmission, bigger tires, improved brakes, and stiffer rear spring that can handle more power. The interior is finished with some brushed aluminum accents, heavily bolstered Nudo leather bucket seats, and titanium colored gauges.
