You can choose the fireplace to suit your requirements. You can also vary the flames giving the feeling of having actual flames.

You also get chunks of natural salt that you can add to your fireplace to give it a very natural look. When light falls on these rocks the fiery effect is highlighted to give the feeling of a coal fire burning. The salt rocks are also available in various colors for added effect.

Electric fireplaces are also very portable and can be moved from one room to another. They also require very little space and can be fitted into a regular existing fireplace.

Electric fireplaces can also be fitted with mantels to give it that old world charm. Many readymade mantels are available that you can fit in your home. Ascertain that your living room has space for such equipment. You can also build a mantel customized to your needs. You will also need to fit the accompanying electric circuits. You can also ignite the fire by flicking a switch on, without having to do it manually.
