But it is no good for programs hiding no actual passwords “under” the asterisks, for instance, it is Windows NT User Manager. Normally, passwords can be recovered in Win 95, 98, ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP (all Editions). Passwords on the web can be recovered if you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 (or higher) in any Windows system.
