People still shopping till they drop despite debt problems.
During the last couple of years many people have been used to shopping trips and buying a new pair of shoes or the latest accessory or technology. The problem is that despite the credit crunch hitting everybody’s finances, many people are still buying those luxuries that they have been advised to stop purchasing.
The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) have been inundated with phone calls asking for advice because they have spent too much on their credit card or store card. The answer most people get is firstly, don’t! Unless we admit that we are having some financial difficulties we will carry on buying things we can actually live without.
