Dublin Airport is Ireland’s largest and busiest airport and is located about 10 km north of the city centre. Even though it’s one of the top ten busiest airports in Europe, it is pretty small and compact with just one large terminal (the 2nd is currently being built and is expected to open 2010).

Dublin Airport is ideally located close to the M50, which is Dublin city’s ringroad, and the M1 motorway which is the main road between Belfast and Dublin city.

It’s quite easy to get there from Dublin, just take the N2 north from the city in the direction of Slane through Ashbourne. Take a road on the right about 2km before Slane and this will bring you to Newgrange.

Popular drives in Dublin include along the east coast of Dublin, south to County Wicklow where you’ll can drive around the beautiful Glendalough area and the Wicklow Mountains.

Or you could take the N4 west of Dublin and visit the Japanese Gardens and National Stud which is one of the top stud farms in the country.
